The testimonials below refer to Judy’s work as a counsellor in general practice
prior to resuming a specialty in weight loss.
I have known Judy for many years and find her to be very compassionate in her dealings with people. She really listens to others and tries to visualize their situation as it appears to them without imposing her own point of view. Judy also has a sense of humour which allows her to connect with others in a very natural way. At the same time, she is very professional and respects confidentiality at all times. I have no hesitation in recommending Judy as a counsellor for a variety of personal and family concerns.

Great talk tonight. Your gentle reminders are very good in helping me keep my focus on what matters. I can’t tell you enough how much your support has meant to me. I was near to losing direction a couple of times and was able to put everything back into perspective.
Truly, my adult life started when I met you. I felt your love, got your support & advice and met great people through your groups. It got me through a very difficult time of my life. You set me up for success, really. I feel lucky that you are still in my life. It’s really an extraordinary outcome. Today, I help alcoholic women stay sober and I assist them in leading full and happy lives. It’s a joyful task. That’s my way of repaying you, I guess.
Thank you for the moral support tonight. With your understanding and sensitivity, doing what I had to do for me was much easier than it would otherwise have been.
You have always been and still are so insightful. You “get” it. I am so happy that we got to muse, strategize, belly-laugh, share our big dreams, thoughts on life, love, faith. A rare thing. Thank you.

We all need people to whom we can open our hearts. When I am concerned or confused about something, I talk to you and it is always helpful and a relief.
You’re the best. Thank you for all the feedback. I will be working with it for a while and will call if I get stuck. I appreciate the experience you put into your responses…fresh, thoughtful and very cool.
God has given you the ability to speak/write/say things in a way that educates/inspires/creates laughter and gets a point across.
I have known Judy Moscovitz since 1977, when we were both completing diplomas at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. We have kept in touch over the years and she has remained both a friend and a mentor. I have always admired Judy for her communications and human relations skills. She is an excellent listener which, coupled with her great analytical skills, makes her especially effective at giving insightful feedback. Since I have known her, Judy has always demonstrated a strong value system based on respect for others, honesty and autonomy. She is very committed and generous to her colleagues, friends and family. I have always felt very privileged to be part of her circle.

I just wanted to write to you and say thank you. You are very perceptive and very generous in your willingness to be there. I have not met many who are from this familial line of humanity…meaning being there. Just knowing that I could call, that you are aware, is very helpful to me. And I wanted to say thank you, a deep thank you. I’m sure we will see each other again soon.
I have known Judy Moscovitz for many years. I find her compassionate, brilliant and extremely clear in her thinking. She is an amazing listener, able to grasp the experience of others and to help them find their own way without judgement or interference. I strongly recommend her as someone whose counsel and assistance would be extremely useful.

I think you’re awesome. Something about you just clicked the first time I met you. I’m just slow in getting to know people … not so much shy but careful I suppose … but I’m the real thing and I believe you are too which is probably why I like you.
What I liked best about Judy was that she listened, really listened. She processed everything, internally, from my point of view first, seeing, experiencing my challenge, not trying to formulate some clever answer from some psychology textbook as I spoke. Bottom line: Judy is a true counsellor, lives the word “empathy” and does not eternalize. She has in-born discernment which results in a quick solution.
There are few people with extraordinary perceptions, and you are one. A person should just walk around behind you with a tape recorder then commit your gems to paper.
Just a reminder to let you know how much your spirit has lifted mine and others around you. If, as my Grandma says, thoughts materialize into a condition or event, then know that you have your own unique way of bringing beauty into this world. Every day you share this with others and influence the way others look at life, and that is such an amazing quality! You are loved and respected by more people than just myself, and I just wanted to remind you.
